Hey guys! Happy weekend! To the newcomers, welcome to my blog! As you can see, been soooo super busy- last post was last week's FF! Not to worry- I have some reviews and a massive STS coming your way(:

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison at Alison Can Read and Rachel at Parajunkee. For the rules, head on over to their blogs. (I'll try to put the Linkup right here below but it never seems to work for me) This week I got to be their featured blogger! So happy and excited, and looking forward to meeting new people and discovering new blogs. The interview with me can be found at Parajunkee. My preferred method of following is GFC, but Bloglovin and Twitter are great too! 

Let's do this! This week's question is:

Craziest thing you'd be willing to do for an ARC you are dying to read (aka what would you doooo-ooo for that ARC you want? *think of the Klondike Bar music*) - Suggested by A Great Read

I think the answer to 'what wouldn't I do for an ARC I'm dying to read' would be shorter(; I draw the limit at jump off a plane and swim with sharks. I would bungee jump though!

Feature and Follow Friday!!

Q:What books would you give to newbies in your favorite genre? 

Favorite genre for me is fantasy, no doubts or questions there. I know lots of people who don't like it and it makes me sad. Of course my first suggestion will forever be Harry Potter, but that makes the typical anti-fantasy person balk immediately. So, barring Hogwarts, I would give a newbie:

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Yeah. This is as fantastical as fantasy gets. But that's exactly why I would suggest it to someone who doesn't usually read this kind of stuff- it truely embodies all the best traits that the genre has to offer. Amazing setting, character arcs and plot twists - I recommend this novel to everyone really. You can read my review of Shadow and Bone here.

Q: Bookselling Time: Go to your biggest bookcases. Go to the second shelf from the top and pick out the sixth book from the left. Handsell that book to us - even if you haven’t read it or if you hated it. (if you don’t have bookcases, done have six books on one shelf, etc, pick a book at random) 

Second shelf, sixth book, gives you The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. 

What's that? You haven't read it yet? Well, what are you waiting for? It's one of the most unique books you'll ever come across. It's narrated by Death, during his most active time of WWII and highlights the smaller horrors of the time, the ones that often go unnoticed because of all the huge massacres. There's no gore or horrible scenes so if you're senesitive to those things you can still read it. One of the most beautifully written books ever, really.

Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've done this meme and I've missed it! Such a great way to start conversations and meet new bloggers! Also, I'm nearing the 100 follower mark- and I think that might mean my first giveaway... just putting that out there;) 

This week's topic is:

How do you handle a book you don't like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

I always finish the book. I'm a little obsessive about that. For one I was raised to finish what I started. And two, because I believe in giving the book a full chance- sometimes they redeem themselves (even if only a little bit) with a good ending or what sounds like a promising sequel.
But in truth, I hardly ever pick up a book I don't think I'll like. I know my taste and can tell by the blurb, author, cover, or reviews if I'll like it. Usually I only ever read a book I don't like when reading something I was sent for review or for school- in both cases I have to finish anyway.

Q: Activity: Spine Poetry. Create a line of poetry with your book spines (take a picture). Not feeling creative? Tell us about your favorite poem.

Uhhhhh. I'm not very creative and the diverse titles in my TBR are no help. So I've decided to share my favorite poem by Shel Silverstein (author of The Giving Tree children's book, among others):

The Homework Machine 

The Homework Machine, oh the Homework Machine,
Most perfect contraption that's ever been seen.
Just put in your homework, then drop in a dime,
Snap on the switch, and in ten seconds' time,
Your homework comes out, quick and clean as can be.
Here it is--"nine plus four?" and the answer is "three."
Three?
Oh me . . .
I guess it's not as perfect

Double Feature!

Taaaa daaaa!! Guess what guys?? (This shouldn't be too hard as it is blaring in your face) I'm the Feature and Follow Friday's featured blogger! I really enjoy taking part in this meme and visiting other blogs- isn't it a great way to see some new blogs and meet new bloggers? And with that I would like to thank the hosts Alison at Alison Can Read and Parajunkee for the spotlight and coming up with this fab feature to begin with! (and for putting up with my many questions) *cue round of applause*

So this week's question is... 

Give us a sneak! What are you reading? Tell us about a fun or fail scene in your current read.

Well! I'm currently reading The Fellowship of the Ring (Lord of the Rings Part 1) by J.R.R Tolkien because I feel like, how can I call myself a reader if I haven't read these yet? I just started and so far so good. It begins with this amusing little scene in which the hobbits of Hobbiton and Bywater 'tongue-wag' at the local pub about Bilbo (about whom we read in The Hobbit), his adopted heir Frodo, scandals, riches, and standard small town gossip. It kinda reminds me of the first scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where the residents of Little Hangleton buy each other drinks while thirstily try to get news out of the maid.

Is there a song that reminds you of a book? Or vice versa? What is the song & the book?

Oh yes. 

1. Breakeven by the script reminds me of  The Infernal Devices (Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, Clockwork Princess)! More specifically of Will Herondale;) Listen and tell me what you think!

2. Forever Young by Alphaville reminds me of The Twilight Saga!

3. OK DON'T FLIP BUT One Less Lonely Girl by Justin Beiber reminds The Mortal Instruments! Specifically of Jace and Clary. Don't shoot me!!

I think the reason I associate the last one with TMI is because I discovered the song while reading the series, and when I discover a song I listen to it like a thousand times. With Forever Young the lyrics literally remind me of the story of Breaking Dawn. As for the first, I saw someone say on Twitter that Breakeven reminded them of Will and when I thought about it the song just seemed to fit him! What about you?
